ABOUT ME
I am based in Adelaide, SA, after training and working in London and later Melbourne. My background is in theatre - classical theatre in particular - and I have been lucky enough to study and work with many experts in the field in Australia and in the United Kingdom.
My background in performing led me to explore the wonderful world of Voice at the Victorian College of the Arts. I then went on to teach voice in the Theatre Course, Music Theatre & MT Foundation Course, Dance Department, holiday and after-hours programs and in the Postgraduate Voice courses for six years.
I currently teach voice and dialect at the Flinders Drama Centre, and freelance as a voice and dialect coach for companies including the State Theatre Company of South Australia.
I am a PhD candidate at Flinders University. My research interests include actor wellbeing, communication in actor training, poetry pedagogy and knowledge transfer.
My interest in voice work goes beyond theatre, as I believe that everybody can gain self-assurance, confidence and insight through breath and voice work.
For more information about my work as an actor, please see the Acting experience page of my website. To read more about my training and work in the voice and accent field, please see my Voice/Dialect experience page.
